Easy and gentle cleaning of SINBRAN\u00ae <\/sup>Filter Elements<\/h1>\n

A major advantage of SINBRAN\u00ae <\/sup> filter elements is their excellent cleanability.<\/b><\/p>\n

The special design of SINBRAN\u00ae <\/sup> filter elements ensures that the ePTFE membrane laminated onto the sintered body reliably prevents the powdery product from penetrating into the depths of the element. The dust to be separated remains on the membrane surface, where it is removed from the back by a pulse of compressed air. The special lamination process produces a very smooth and homogeneous surface that enables almost complete dust cake removal.<\/p>\n

The filter surface is free of folds, corners, recesses or dead angles where dust can accumulate that cannot be removed or can only be removed incompletely by the cleaning process.<\/p>\n

If the product is changed or if the surface becomes sticky or crusty, it can be gently cleaned with water to restore the original filtration performance.<\/p>\n

Wet cleaning is possible both during operation (CIP) and when the filter is removed.<\/p>\n<\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>WET CLEANING IN THE FILTER<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

CIP (Cleaning In Place) system:<\/strong>
\nThe filter element is cleaned by a CIP system integrated into the filter system. Care must be taken to ensure that the element is sprayed evenly and not too hard. The drying process can be accelerated by passing clean, warm air through the elements at a reduced blower output (< 50%) after washing.<\/p>\n

Important: Do not blow out during the drying process! Do not allow liquid to flow through the elements from the clean gas side.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The element is dry again after about an hour. It has sufficient permeability and can be charged with dust again.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>WET CLEANING OUTSIDE THE SYSTEM<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

SINBRAN\u00ae<\/sup> elements may only be cleaned from the membrane side. If washing liquid flows through from the clean gas side, the membrane will be destroyed.<\/p>\n

Steam jet\/high-pressure cleaner:<\/strong> Cleaning is easy and effective. Ensure that the air\/water jet hits the surface at an angle (15 \u2013 20\u00b0) and that the nozzle is far enough away from the filter surface (> 40 cm).<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> The nozzle must be far enough away from the membrane surface so that no hard or sharp jet hits the filter surface!<\/p>\n

Water hose:<\/strong> The dust can be removed with a light, gushing water jet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>DRY CLEANING IN DISASSEMBLED CONDITION<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

In the case of hygroscopic powders, the filter surface can be cleaned in a dry state by gently brushing it with a hand brush or soft brush. Isolated dust deposits should remain on the surface, as the filter area is not noticeably reduced and removing them can damage the membrane.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>IMPORTANT INFORMATION<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

The temperature of the cleaning fluid should not exceed 50 \u00b0C. Any residual powder, encrustations or caking should be left on the surface, as mechanical cleaning at certain points, for example, can damage the membrane.<\/p>\n

Flushing the elements with a washing liquid in the opposite direction to the filtration direction will destroy the membrane.<\/p>\n

When cleaning wet or dry, make sure that the element seal is not contaminated or permanently deformed by previous use. It is recommended to use new seals!<\/p>\n

For modules installed on the raw gas side, make sure that the spacer sleeves are reinstalled.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nAfter cleaning, the filter elements almost regain their original filtration performance and differential pressure.<\/p>\n
